Porcelain veneers in Romania

A veneer is a thin shell of pressed ceramic bonded to the front of a tooth to correct its colour, shape or small position faults. Designed across the whole smile line, veneers are how most famous smiles were actually built. Ours are IPS e.max by Ivoclar, the ceramic a cosmetic dentist would choose for their own front teeth.

You approve the smile before we touch a tooth

The case starts on screen. Your teeth are scanned with the iTero Lumina, your face is photographed under calibrated light, and the new smile is designed digitally. You go through that design with the dentist and change whatever you like while changes still cost nothing. Only after you approve it do we prepare the teeth, and e.max lets us prepare very little, shaving fractions of a millimetre and keeping as much of your own enamel as possible.

There is also a physical try-in before anything is permanent. The finished veneers sit on your teeth with try-in paste, you study them in the mirror and in daylight, and bonding only happens once you have said yes to what you see in your own face.

One trip of five to seven days

Design and preparation happen at the start of your stay, the try-in and bonding at the end, and the ceramic work is done in-house in between. If some natural teeth stay untouched, we whiten them first with Philips Zoom, then match the porcelain to the new shade so the whole smile ages together.

At bonding, every margin is checked under the Zumax operating microscope. The join between porcelain and enamel is where cheap veneer work fails, and it is invisible to the naked eye.

A real price from a published list

A single e.max veneer costs 3000 lei on our Bucharest price list, about £510. UK private practices commonly charge £600 to £1,000 for the same ceramic. Across eight or ten veneers, the difference pays for the flights, the hotel and a good part of your next holiday as well. Your written quote lists every tooth so you can compare like for like.

Veneers are not always the right answer, and we say so when they are not. Crowded teeth are often better aligned first, and heavy grinders may do better with zirconia. A dentist reviews your photographs before you book anything, and if veneers are wrong for you, you will hear it from us first.
