Zirconia crowns in Romania

A crown rebuilds a broken, cracked or heavily filled tooth by covering it completely. Ours are milled from multilayer zirconia with no metal underneath, which is why they show no grey line at the gum, the giveaway of the old metal ceramic crowns you still see on so many smiles.

Digital from the first minute

There are no impression trays and no gagging on silicone. The prepared tooth is scanned with the iTero Lumina and the crown is designed and milled from that scan. Digital impressions are more comfortable and measurably more accurate, and accuracy at the margin is what decides whether a crown lasts five years or twenty.

Before cementing, the fit is verified under the Zumax OMS 300 operating microscope and the bite is adjusted until you stop noticing the crown is there. The shade is matched digitally to the neighbouring teeth, so a single crown does not announce itself when you smile.

One trip of four to five days

Preparation and scanning happen early in your stay, the finished crown is checked and fitted a few days later, and the time in between is yours to spend in Bucharest rather than in a waiting room. Root treated teeth, cracked cusps and teeth that are by now more filling than tooth are all everyday work here.

The price difference is hard to argue with

Prices start at £215 per crown, against £600 to £900 in most UK private practices. From three or four crowns upwards the saving covers your flights, your hotel and most of your restaurant bills.
