Teeth whitening in Bucharest

Professional whitening is the cheapest change you can make to a smile, and in the right mouth a dramatic one. We use Philips Zoom in-chair whitening: one appointment of about 90 minutes, typically four to six shades lighter before you leave the building.

What the appointment looks like

Your starting shade is recorded and photographed first, so the change is measured rather than guessed. The gums are protected with a painted barrier, then the Zoom gel works in three or four cycles under the lamp while you listen to your own music. Afterwards you get a desensitising treatment, because honest whitening admits to a day or two of temporary sensitivity and treats managing it as part of the job.

Keeping the result

You fly home with custom trays and professional top-up gel. When coffee and red wine start winning again, a night or two in the trays brings the shade back. Looked after this way, an in-chair result typically holds for two to three years.

The honest limits

Whitening only works on natural enamel. Crowns, veneers and fillings keep their colour, which is exactly why we whiten first and match new ceramic to the brighter shade whenever whitening is part of a bigger plan. Deep grey staining from childhood antibiotics responds slowly, and sometimes veneers are the better road. If your teeth will not whiten well, we would rather tell you before you book a flight than after you have paid us.

At £165 for the course, against £400 to £600 in UK practices, whitening rarely justifies a flight on its own. As an add-on to a crown, veneer or implant trip it is the easiest yes on the price list, and that is exactly how most of our patients book it.
